Title: Xtreme Eating 2010
Post by: BuyLowSellHigh on August 25, 2010, 04:14:25 AM
The food police are at it again.  The Center for Science in the Public Interest (a group that as a career scientist I have trouble with) has their 2010 extreme list out.

I have one question -- isn't this why God made Lipitor?

Joking aside, I have always maintained that there are no bad foods, just bad portions of any food.

Strangley enough I just took the wife to Five Guys last night. It was the first time for both of us. Before we got our food we talked about all of these reports and how many calories their fries are.

After eating there I can see why the fries are 1400 calories. A large order is enough to feed 4 people. The portion sizes were out of control. We got one large fry and shared it. We ended up throwing away 1/3 of them.

I know people eat a lot. We are over weight. But I think the bigger problem is we dont (most) work very strenulously. And most get little to no excersice. So people are not burning the calories they eat. JMO
