Hello All,
I just recently received my Bradley 4 Rack Digital Smoker. I am 100% brand new to smoking and I am sure that this is a noob type question and I apologize in advance, but what does "FTC" stand for?
Also, I would love to do a BBQ Brisket this weekend as my first use. Anyone have a good recipe along with temp and time?
Thanks,
Drew
Hi Drew and welcome. You can go here http://www.susanminor.org/forums/showthread.php?488-Answers-To-Bradley-Smoker-FAQ-s&p=766#post766 for a bunch of acronyms.
FTC is wrap the meat in Foil, and old Towel and put it in a room temp Cooler.
Lots of good recipes at susanminor.org.
Generally I go about 1.25 - 1.5 hours per pound for brisket at a cabinet temp of 220-225. My finished internal temp (IT) is about 185.

Just a suggestion, if you are brand new to smoking and have a brand new smoker,
You might want to think about smokin something so that you can kinda get use to
your smoker. A Brisket is kinda tough to do right out of the chute.
Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the forum...Enjoy!
