I now have an OBS but it was a roundabout journey. For Father's day, my wife bought me "another brand of smoker" at the regular price which I didn't open in case I wanted to return it. Sure enough, it soon went on sale so I took my bill in, price guarantee policy in effect and I was refunded the difference. That's when I saw the OBS, checked out the website and decided this was the one to get. Not having used the other smoker yet, I returned it for a FULL refund and used the extra $ to justify going for the OBS.

Have been doing a lot of reading on the forums here and figured I should register so I have full advantage of all the good help and advice. It's quite impressive, spent loads of time already just reading up on things.

Smoker is out, set up and already been seasoned with about 3 hours of smoking, now ready to try some ribs first. Really looking forward to getting started!

Welcome HKY280 - IMHO you made the right choice going for the bradley, even if it did take a few trips to the store to get it. So far I've had nothing but fun and great tasting food from mine.

I'm impressed. You were able to upgrade a 'Father's Day" gift!

I've resorted to printing pictures of what I want so I don't have to hurt anyone's feelings. I'm at the point in life that I want what I want and that's what I want! And then I'm happy! It's that easy!

Yes, have a few questions after reading up on some of the recipes & procedures but will go over to the OBS sub-forum and start a thread there.
