Title: Temperature Issues and Power Light on Door
Post by: dulcimerman on September 11, 2010, 08:24:20 PM
I am having trouble getting the temperature above 125 degrees on my Bradley. After 3 hours of smoking
the temp would not get hotter than 125 degrees. It was plugged directly into the socket without extension cord.
The power generator light on the smoker tower was on as was the brisquette advance. However, the light
on the door that says "power generator" was never on at all. I am smoking salmon but wasn't sure if the element
might be burned out or not functioning. The brisquettes heat and smoke but the temperature did not rise
above 125.

Help!

Sounds like you are not getting any power to the element.  Make sure the cord is pushed in all the way in the back of the cabinet.

The cabinet heater isn't working.  The first line of defense is to unplug and reseat the power cords - HARD.  If that doesn't work, remove the power cord from the SG and plug it directly into the cabinet.  This is the start of the troubleshooting procedure.  What model smoker do you have?
