Title: stock collection bowl, puck capacity
Post by: kaskiles on September 14, 2010, 05:05:28 PM
Has anyone ever measured how many spent pucks the water/collection bowl can hold before the pucks pile up and interfere with the smoke generator?

Is it 12 pucks?

Ditto.    The ones from Walmart are 9x13x2 or so.   Plenty of clearance under the heat shield.

On larger smokes I use a disposable pan but when doing a quick smoke I will just use the bowl.

Hi kaskiles;
Welcome to the forum.

The water bowl that comes with the smoker will hold 12 and that is the maximum. The bisquettes generally will distribute themselves in the bowl, but on rare occasions they tend to pile up at the left side of the bowl. Bradley recommends you only fill the bowl 1/2 full, but I start with the bowl 3/4 full.
