Post by: classicrockgriller on September 26, 2010, 02:59:01 PM
I finally got around to running some test with the temp gauge moved down.

I posted it here:

I wanted the temp gauge to end up at 1/2 way between the first and second rack.

I have the extra rack kit in my OBS and it worked out that the third rack up,

the probe just slide under the basket.

I did the test, checking it with the maverick. In 15 minutes it had reach 250*

The Bradley thermo took a little longer to come up and stabilize but when it did it was around 3* of the maverick.

Hey CRG, how far apart are the extra rest set - "??

Also did you make these or purchase them somewhere. I think I asked this before but couldn't find it.

There are two rack rails in between each Factory rack rail.

I cut my own, but you can get them here: www.smokeandstuff.com

and they provide a template and screws.
