Today was smoke day for some beer sticks. Using up the last of last years deer trim. It's only a small batch of 5 lbs. Anyway I got the stuffed sticks out of the fridge this morning and let them warm to room temp. At noon I started the smoker. 1 hrs at 120, 1 hr at 140 w/maple smoke. ½hr at 160 w/smoke. Then 180 until finished at 152º. At 12:30 I left the house to go babysit my granddaughter for an hour. Smoker was at 120 but no smoke yet. I got back at about 1:50 and hit the garage door opener and smoke was billowing out the door. Panicked. Something is burning. I could see the smoke was coming from the smoker. Oh oh. Someone, who will be nameless ;), had a brain fart. Guess who hadn't bothered to attached the vent to the outside. Had about an hours smoke in the garage. It's windy today so it didn't take long for the smoke to clear out but now the garage smells like a smoke house. Not a bad thing I suppose but I'm going to hear from the boss later when she gets home ::).
I hate having brain farts. ;D
;D Glad everything is OK except for maybe the knot
on head from frying pan.
It helps to keep the wax clean out of your ears, that way the gas doesn't stay trapped.
Raf128 this is what i call brain lock, The only way to fix it is a 12 pack of beer ;D
You never know she might just surprise you. My garage smells like that all the time. When the smell starts to fade Momma asks isn't it about time to smoke something the garage doesn't smell anymore
