As a miner who has seen three of his friends and colleagues never return home to their wives, children and friends, I am elated at the rescue of these miners. I have watched with great emotion as each of these men was hoisted to safety. Three cheers for the rescue crews who turned a tragedy into a miracle.
Chi, Chi, Chi, Le, Le, Le!
Just incredible. If that doesn't bring tears to your eyes nothing will. So very happy for those guys and their families.
Was truely amazing!
I watched an interview with the guy that drill the hole and the odds against it working.
It was an emotional time for him too.
Less than 22 hours all 33 miners and 4 rescue workers were pulled out...
Awesome story!!
God Bless!!
It IS an amazing saga, and a miracle that they all returned as well as they did. I think the entire world just exhaled.
The crew captain is, without doubt, a true leader. He must be one very cool headed dude.
I stayed glued to it and loved it. Fantastic job!

I think i'm dehydrated from tearing up every darn time The miners got to hug there family, Definately was a awesome rescue!! :'(
Awesome... The women folk were watching it late the other night, then we caught updates on the radio driving to the airport, then we caught it on CNN feeds in St Louis and in Dallas. Saw the final happy ending last night as I was out grilling on the deck. Fantastic.
I was impressed with the speed of the recovery.
I had heard they had Sunglasses made in the USA and a case of beer for each of the miners when arrived on top but they couldn't give the beer to any of them. Since it is illegal to serve miners in Chile as well as in the US!!
