Title: Meat Loaf Coma
Post by: punchlock on October 17, 2010, 03:03:59 PM
Well today I made the infamous "Not Your Mommas Meat Loaf". I made a total of 6 pounds of meat loaf and man am I glad I made extra. I am not sure who came up with the recipe but I tip my hat to the inventor.

Now I will return to my self induced meat coma.

Wowza  :o :o  That's a great looking meat loaf!!!  You've inspired me to make of those bad boys sooner than later.  I'm the guy in the fancy restaurant that asks the waitress if they have meat loaf  :)

FYI, I tried this recipe both smoked and non smoked and with bacon weave and without. I think the non smoked version was good but the cumin was a little strong. The bacon wrapped smoked version was exceptional and mellowed the cummin when compared to the others.

Why without smoke? I have been hitting the kids pretty hard with smoked food lately and they were becoming disgruntled so I prommissed them a non smoked version. I don't want a full mutiny on my hands!
