Title: Pork Loin
Post by: SnellySmokesEm on October 23, 2010, 10:34:39 AM
I was asked to smoke some pork for my wife's friends baby shower but she didnt want pulled pork.  After I got some ideas from the forum and a few coversations with 10.5 I decided to smoke a whole pork loin and make sliced pork bbq.  I bought a 9.5lb loin from Sams and started smoking at 8am.
9.5lb pork loin and 5lb corned beef brisket

Sorry guys, no recipe to speak of.  Just a lot of great advice from the guys here on the forum....
Here's what I did:
1 pork loin (9.5lb)
rub (in this case I used Batman of BBQ's rub) but any brown sugar based rub will work fine
mustard slather (light)
Smoked with apple for 2.5 hours
Smoked/cooked to an IT of 145-150
FTC'd 3 hours and sliced thin
Placed in crock pot with some chicken broth and apple juice.

Hope this helps guys!
