Title: Maple sticks
Post by: goblism on October 25, 2010, 05:32:51 PM
Well I am looking to try and make some different kind of sticks this fall and I am wondering if anyone has a good recipe for maple snack sticks?

Right now I have a good plain recipe that uses jalapeno, red, white, and black pepper, but looking to make some different kinds of sticks

Any other must try recipes you guys might have lying around (and isn't a family secret)

I've never had maple sticks before, I'm sure if anyone has it would be NEPAS, but he is on the road to the FLA smokout then off to Cal and then the whole way back to PA.  :)

I think I might try just adding maple flavor to some sticks in varying amounts to see what is the best amount.

I rehydrated the powder with distilled water. 2/3 cup powder, 1/3 cup water. Used about a cup in 5 lb of mix.
