Sent SnellySmokesEm some local sauce from Bob Gibson's the other week. Got home today and got a box of goodies in return. Thanks- can't wait to dig into them. Here's the gang:

I'll have to use some of these in the Chorizo I'm going to make tomorrow.
Also going to try my first attempt at jerky. Here are 2 bags of meat marinading. Going to try 2 different recipes.

I'll post more details tomorrow.
Don't ya love it when you open your mailbox or go to your front door and there's a box you weren't expecting? It's like Christmas for me!

Your welcome Gus! Glad you liked the swag. Now hurry up and get me my mies!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Hopefully I should get it tomorrow, at least that is what they promised.
I was rearranging the freezer to fit more stuff, and came across 2 thin ribeyes. So I decided to make a version of Cowboy steak. I slathered the ribeyes with CT and rubbed them with 2 of the rubs that Snelly sent me.
Here is a picture of the ribeyes rubbed with "Everglades Heat" and "Everglades Cactus Dust"
Seared and "blackened" in butter and high heat, and a side of sauted leftover syracuse salt potatoes and onions

Hard to choose between the 2 rubs. If I was forced to make a choice I would say the Cactus Dust won.
Thanks again Snelly
Looks good. That is some good stuff.
We've never had leftover Syracuse Salt potatoes - no matter how many pounds we make.
Looks good Gus! Glad you like it!
CT on steak! OMG! (haven't tried that one - yet........)
I used a healthy amount of the Everglades Heat on a baby turkey boulder once. Good stuff - but with a definite ZING.
