My wife picked out a really nice butt from BJ's yesterday:

I rubbed it up and put it on for 5 hours of hickory:

In my smoke log I reference a fractional inch slider position:

Here it is out of FTC:

Thanks for including your log of activities, good information.
Dang now I am going to have to let the wife pick me a butt for this weekend. A little to high-tech on that temp controller for me!

I know, I need a bbqguru ProComm4 Power Raptor, but that package costs more than my entire OBS setup!
Unless you have a charcoal or wood burner, you may want to purchase an Auber PID. But if you have a charcoal or wood burner, then I would go with one of the Guru's with the Raptor for the electric smoker. That way you can also use the Guru with the stick burner, after you purchase the correct fan and adapter.
Great Job, on both the butt and the log. Get an Auber PID and set it and forget it ;D
