Finally got my BDS set up in the garage, should be complete tonight PID and all.
For the Husker ISU game tomorrow the wife and I are finally going to dive in and make my CheeseBurger Fatty. That'll be game time.
Then for an evening snack, BB ribs will be going, 3rd attempt with ribs, solid improvement each time out.
Also, pretty sure I have enough nerve to go in both feet deep with a brisket for sunday.
Either way, i am the proud owner of my first brisket. (try to hold back the urge to bust my chops on the packaged ribs. they will be held as comparison, hitting the meat counter after work for the other set.)

9.65lb, $49 and change. no clue why brisket is so high here.... to my surprise, decent amount of fat cap on the other side.
Can't wait to see a picture of this Fatty. ;D
Dive in with both feet buddy!
We'll be waiting for pics thirty.
Keep your feet outa the smoker. :D
starting off with a good smoke, good luck and enjoy
Heck Yeah, sounds like a good weekend.
Good luck and enjoy!
Actually not my first smoke, first brisket yes.
Just moved my set up from the back porch to the garage.
Here's the cheeseburger fatty:
ground beef, cheese, jalapenos, white onion, mushrooms, bacon.
1hr 30min of oak.

It was pretty good, better than HoHum, not bad at all, not world record setting either.
I'll get to the brisket postings tomorrow.
Nice looking fatty 30.
Ended up cutting the brisket in half instead of doing all 9lbs

were they as good as they look?
Brisket was the true winner this weekend, that is for sure. first attempt, wont complain.
The small fat cap contributed to it being a hair dry, but not complaining. The taste today is outstanding.
Couple things I learned this weekend:
1. Brisket makes the inside of the cabinet a new kind of messy.
2. PID's don't operate properly if the tower is plugged into the wrong plug on the back of the PID.
