smoke pork and chicken at the same time?  Any adverse effects?  I will be out of the house most of today, but I will chekc back tonight.

You can but the chicken will not take as long. Most pork butts for me are around 8-9 hours. Chickens 3-4 hours.

Now you might want to place your chicken above the pork so it will "baste" the pork during its final hours of cooking.

Opps I forgot to also say that the couple of times I have mixed foods and when chicken is the last item I have to add more wood for the chicken at that point~~!

I do believe most here do them both together at the start and then pull the bird at the four hour mark. However, I like the grease from the chicken flowing over the pork. [:D]
