can you taste any of the onions on your ribs or is it all good . I have 3 racks and 4 onions smoken with apple wood.
I've thrown onions in the smoker with ribs before, and didn't really notice the flavor being imparted to the ribs. Of course, I always use granulated onion in my rubs, so maybe that's why I didn't notice a difference?
