Rick,
Tell Bob and Bruce hello from all of us. I will be interested to learn how many miles you have driven since you left PA last month. It will have been a bunch for sure. After Nebraska, where you headed?
There should be a movie crew with you chronicling "NePaS's Great Adventure".
Continued safe journey my friend.

Now's there's a dinner I would like to have be in. You were hanging with the head honchos. Only thing I noticed is one of those honchos is much prettier than the other two! :D I'm sure you had a great time visiting with them.
And now down to see 10.5 and crew. Where to after that?
Nepas is going to get home and Kiki The Jerky Pup will probably bite him he has been gone so long.
Be sure to wave hi if you go through Omaha! I would say roll down the window and smell the smoke, but I am not planning a smoke until Saturday.
He passed out in Wyoming last nite.
He was a tired puppy. ;D
He called me this morning he is driving through a Ice storm on the Wyoming Nebraska border. Figures he should get in sometime tonight.
The Eagle has landed!! Nepas is in Eastern Iowa. I spoke with him for a few minutes then sent him off to his hotel to get some sleep. Very impressionable first meeting. Nepas steps out of the vehicle sniffs the air "Whaaaat is that??? Smells like Cow Sh*t!!" Welcome Buddy that would be the fresh Country Air!" ;D ;D I will let him tell you about the deer we have around here.
Yeah i made it finally, Talked with Chris and CRG.
Sonny TY for calling me and checking up. Sorry i aint talked much but i'm whooped.
Drove through 2 1/4 states covered with snowy and black ice roads, a real white knuckler :D
Note to self.
Never........never take I 80 in the winter months :D
And yeah the Iowa air... Smell like cow dirt :D
The deer...........holy cow dear :D
Jeep vs 20.5 deer...........Jeep loose :D
Larry
Hanging with Chris for a while in the morning, going to putz around. Kinda undecided if i head home tomorrow afternoon. My wife wants to know whats taking me so long :D :D

Welcome to the Midwest!
No black ice today... We're supposed to see near record temps of 75°.
That sounds like a tooth-gnashing, sweaty palm, death-grip-on-the-wheel drive. :o
Glad to hear you've arrived safely. Enjoy the clean, fresh country air ;) (we have similar down here, but it includes the essence of crude added in).
So, what is it with 20.5 deer ? Is that a size reference or a number (0.5 ?), or something else I don't get with my foggy morning brain ?
I think I remember Nepas mentioning during one of our phone calls something along the lines of "These aint deer these are sides of beef walking across the road" or words to that effect.
I'm hoping I'm wrong but I think that reference to a 20.5 deer means that NePaS's Jeep had an up close and personal meeting of the deer. Hope it didn't damage the Jeep too much. Earlier this week I had a real good opportunity to hit what appeared to be about an 8 pointer but managed to get slowed down in time.
Geez, not good. Hope any damage is very minor.
Iowa corn-fed eh Chris? Grow 'em big!

I used to live in Wyoming up until 4 months ago. I-80 in the winter sucks espeically during the holidays. There is nothing like driving 15 MPH on iced over roads fighting 40 MPH winds and having people going 60 MPH pass you. Unfortunatley I woulld come across those people further down the road. Just one of many accidents. The wind is the bad part. It could be a perfectly clear day and yet the road is iced over because of wind.
Oh yeah we got's some Bigguns roaming around here. Rick got a couple pictures of the ones in the locker plant capped out for mounting. Had a great time with Rick. Did some running around to my supply points and got Nepas hooked up with some supplies to make some sausage. I even got Nepas to help with my first batch of Beef snack stix. He took all of the pictures on his camera so that should be an interesting post when he gets home.
Larry the Jeep is fine NO incidental contact with Bambi.
The Nepas is headed home.
Nepa, sorry to hear about the jeep, hope you and yours are safe and not injured, take care and be safe
from the orange county beefmann
As I was So quickly reminded by FLB (http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd237/tenpoint5/no-pics.png)
Nepas and Tenpoint5 in Tenpoint5's kitchen after making a 5 lb batch of snack stix. Of course the hands are in the pockets!!

What a trip NePaS is still having and it was good to have the chance to shake his hand!
Safe travels man and get home safely! ;D
I bet that was Fun!
Glad you guys had a good Time!
Be Safe nepas!
... and while we're on the subject of them deer, how does 10.5 get all his avatars to shake, paw, and twitch in synch with each other? Ought to be a job for him in the circus or someplace...
I would love to see a GPS track of Rick's trip. :D especially if you could include a time line and overlay it on the map of Bradley members.

He just texted me and he was blowing through Chi-town
Glad to know Rick dodged the deer with no damage!
Rick, get home safe.
Well Larry I know how you felt. I did the white knuckles on wednesday morning at 3 am. not fun.
QuoteHe just texted me and he was blowing through Chi-town
Well he should be passing by here anytime now, depending on how long he stopped to rest after passing Chicago.
Just got the call The Nepas has returned HOME. He will post something a little later tonight after he gets a little sleep
Wow, the NePA's United States tour is over.... Glad you made home safe. Look forward to more pics!
Glad to see that he made it home safe.
That's great.
It was great to meet him at the FLSO.
Welcome back to PA Rick.
Glad to know he made it back home safe and sound. What a road trip!
Welcome home Rick!
Houston, the NePaS has landed !
My WAG is ~ 8,000 miles total.
Nice trip, and thanks for sharing the highpoints with us. This has been great!
Thanks everyone for the road support. Only thing that did not fare so good was the windshield of the jeep.
Otherwise i had a great time meeting everyone. The trip was very interesting in Idaho, through the first part of Nebraska.
