Title: Spaghetti with red sauce

Made some homemade sauce tonight for dinner.  
First I browned
1lb ground beef and 2 italian sausage links (removed from casing)
1/2 small onion chopped
4 cloves garlic minced
1/2 packaged mushroom sliced

Added:
chopped 4 celery stalks and 4 carrots in food processor
1 14.5 diced tomato's

Then I added:
1 can 29oz tomato sauce
1 can 14.5 tomato sauce
3Tbl fresh oregano
I added these dry spices to taste:  tyme, italian seasoning, garlic powder, rosemary, salt and pepper

Let simmer 2-3 hours

next time throw in a stick of pepperoni while simmering- adds great flavor

Very nice..   Instead of Oregano, I use Basil.  Lots of basil.

Great idea on the pepperoni stick...   Will try that next time.  (then keep the pepperoni for myself!)
