All as i was smoking my Boston butts over thanksgiving night i noticed the lights went out on my smoke gen but the light was still on for the smoker the auber said i was still in step two of the sequence, shouldn't the light still be on and using the SG to help heat the smoker?
If you want the heat from the smoke generator to help with heating the Box,
you have to manually turn it on and keep the time on the smoke gen advanced.
The Auber doesn't control the smoke gen on the Digital.
Would that mean i nee to have the first step 1 set to a longer time to keep it turned on. I have a OBS 4 rack.
What ever step you have to turn on the smoke gen, yes set it longer.
thanks, i will do that next time this was my maiden voyage with the PID.

With the dual auber you can set the sg to go on for 2 cycles by setting r1 and r2. For example, if you set r1 to 1 and r2 to 3 the sg will go on during the first step, shut off for the 2nd , turn on for the 3rd step and shut off when the 3rd is done. Or if you set r1 to 1 and r2 to 2, it will stay on for the first 2 steps. This is for the OBS, don't know how it will work with the BDS.
Thanks Gus, i have the OBS.
