Title: Pork butt an Babybacks Done
Post by: RFT on December 05, 2010, 01:47:18 PM
I have to say this butt turned out great!

Used a  Pork Rub From Bassman and added a little Chile Molido to it.

Butt took just about 17hrs and took it top a temp of 190F then FTCed it for 5hrs.  The only snag I ran into was my maverick ET 73 would signal is crap. I did the mod to it yesterday but did not seem to help much at all but that is another post. Ya. I know. I should of waited for the 732 to come out. I will mod my transmiter next to see if that helps. if not then I will get the new version.

That butt looks good to me too and as far as a sauce my Christmas exchange box has my two favorite (hot and mild) sauces in it for the best pork Sammie (IMHO) ever!

Very nice.

JohnK5555- my guess is you play cribbage?
F=foil
T-towel
C= cooler

Put meat in foil wrap in heavy towel and put in plain cooler no ice for a couple of hours and it sucks the juices back in and it turns out great. I have had them in the cooler for up to 4 hours,still nice and warm and great flavor.
