Title: Need some help

I ground up 2-5 pound batches  i used LEM spice packs SS and one as Hot sticks got up this morning and did a sample of each and the SS taste great but the hot sticks have no heat to it should i mix in a half a cup black pepper or some crushed red pepper i am stuffing on sunday night smoking on Monday any advice  would be great thanks

When you did you taste test. Did you do the Nepas "Raw taste test" or did you fry some in a pan? Sometimes the heat is activated after cooking.

I don't know what "heat" is in the mix that you used.  To add more heat you can use Cayenne.  1 1/2 tsp per 5 pounds will give you a nice bit of heat that is not over powering.  For my spicy stixs I use 2 tsp.

I agree, I would add ground cayenne to kick up the heat some.

Cayenne it is i am gonna stuff in a bit i will post the pics after a bit i just went and got some seasoning and some hog pliers and rings thanks for all the help

Might want to mix in 1 to 1 1/2 Cayenne and taste.  You can always add more hot but you can't take it out.  I don't think you will go wrong with 1 1/2 to 2 tsp of cayenne per 5 pounds.
