Title: Bratwurst
Post by: sausagemaking.org on December 16, 2010, 01:36:01 PM

Greetings from England!

I'm looking for a typical US style Bratwurst recipe, does anyone have a tried and tested one?

Thanks

Franco

This is one I used as a starting point. Not really traditional without veal, but it has BACON!

I am using seasonings right now from Witts and Leggs, both are very good...around $3 for 25lbs.

I use the Witts (Newlywed) myself as a basic starting point and then I branch out from there with all kinds of additives. As Goblism said the seasoning packets are about $3 and have enough seasoning to do 25 pounds of meat. I can't buy the spices for that.
