I have some sad news. It has finally been determined that my mother has all 3 types of cancer and has 6 weeks to 6 months to live. This came on kind of sudden. Prayers for her pain to be low and suffering kept to a minimum would be appreciated.
I will monitor the forum as much as I can, but posting will not be as frequent for awhile. Myself and my brothers and sisters are going to all try to meet at mom's for Christmas in Jacksonville, Florida. She should be out of hospital by next Thursday. I will be leaving here NLT Wednesday. Will not be able to monitor forum again until I return (probably near the new year).
Thank you friends in advance.
Rick
Rick,
I will be praying for your mom, you and your family during this trying time. May God bless you all!
Deepest Regards,

My sympathies, I too am familiar with my mother having cancer, her battle has ended, but I'm sure she is much happier now.
You got 'em Wildcat.
Wildcat, my heart is hurting thinking about you and your family. May you have a wonderfully heart filling visit with your Mom at Christmas. Love on her a lot and let her love on you. My prayers will go out for healing, a minimum of pain, and for the skill of her doctors, nurses and caregivers. Let God pull you and your family into his warm embrace as you travel this hard road. Peace be with you Wildcat - and we look forward to your return.

Thanks folks. There is no hope of healing and I have come to terms with that. It does hurt but my only concern is that she not suffer. This is not my first experience with family and friends passing with cancer. All but one of them had several months of suffering (primarily from the treatment). Mom is only going to have enough treatment to help with the pain.
Again thank you all.
Wildcat,
Having lost my Mom to similar 7 years ago, still brings tears to my eyes of you having to go through the same.
I wish for you the most support from your friends and family that they can possibly give.
Rick,
We will pray for you tonight and each night and at Sunday at church. God bless.
David
I'm deeply sadden to hear the news about your mother. I will keep her and your family in my thoughts.
If Hospice is not involved yet, it may be helpful if you get them involved. Generally this service is setup by the hospital. Hospice can make your mother's quality of life much better, and bring comfort to her and your family.
Very sorry to hear this, Wildcat.
We'll keep you and your family in our prayers.
Rick,
So sorry to hear the news. I will keep your mother & your family in my thoughts.

Your right and I think my sister said those arrangements are in the process. If not I will make sure it happens.
Thanks again everyone.
Rick,
I am deeply saddened to learn of your mother's illness. Having lost both of my parents I can certainly sympathize with the flood of emotions you are dealing with. Please know that we will continue to lift up your mom, your family and you to God.

My prayers for your mother & family our with you. I can understand what you are going though my oldest sister was given only 3 months to live. We as a family haven't given up on her just yet. There are allot of alternative treatments you can find on the web. The treatments we have her on now seem to be helping, she is feeling better & gained back some weight, & her cancer hasn't grew since we started her treatment. She has pancreatic cancer. If you want more info. you can PM me.
Sorry to hear that Rick.
We'll keep your mother and your family in our prayers.
Thoughts and prayers with you and your family.
