Title: Maverick ET 723
Post by: RFT on December 19, 2010, 03:14:51 PM
Any body get the new Mavericks yet?

If so what do you think of them?   true range and so forth.

I am so done with my POS ET 73.  Range on my ET 73  line of sight varies from 2ft to maybe 20ft.  Right now I have them right next to each other and
they have lost contact and not updated for the last hour. (yes, batteries are new in both receiver and transmitter)

Mine was like that until I did the mod to it. Now I can have it in my smoker on the back deck and get uninterrupted signal in my upstairs bedroom on the other side of the house.

I have the ET 73 and mine picks up fine whether I smoke in the garage or on the deck. I can take my receiver downstairs and I still get a signal. I do have an attached garage though. Have had no problems.Maybe it is time to replace your batteries?

RFT,
STC and I have the new ET-732.   So does TTNuge and I think Pete.  I will only speak for myself but I am really pleased with the 732.  Way better than the 73 I had and eventually threw in the trashcan in a fit of rage.

The range is way better and stronger.

STC will be along and give better intel as he has used his more than I have.

I've got the last 3 generations of the ET-7X.  (ET-72, ET-73 and ET-732)

The ET-732 works great.    Monitoring something 70' away through 3-4 walls....   Not a problem.    It seems to be better constructed as well than the ET-73.

Now that is funny cause I just did the same thing today, but first I threw it on the ground in a fit of rage, Ya I know anger management right,  that was anger management

I'm new to the boards (just got my OBS last weekend) but am trying to get up to speed with the right stuff.

Having said that, I just bought myself one of these Maverick 723s as I saw a lot of complaints about the 73 series ones.  Hoping (especially with this price tag) that this one performs as expected.

I'll post again once I have it in my hands and have played around with it

Well worth the money it does work as described. I love Mine.

Ditto.  Amazing range..

I ordered extra meat probes so I can monitor two hunks of pig (or cow or chicken or whatever) at the same time.
