Title: Useful Convesions and Equivalents
Post by: BuyLowSellHigh on December 23, 2010, 06:33:38 AM
One of my favorite kitchen / cooking stores in the entire U.S. in Fante's  (http://www.fantes.com/index.html) in Philly.  Their website is loaded with lots of useful information in many of the categories (see the free guides).  Just this morning I stumbled onto this page full of useful conversion charts and calculators.

Fante's Conversion Tools (http://www.fantes.com/conversion-charts.html)

The folks there really know there stuff.

is there a conversion for cooking time and temps.

ex.  say under normal circumstances, you are to cook something at 225 for 5 hours, but the highest temp you are to acheive is 170.  what does that extend your cooking time to?

Or around here 2 more mixers, a phone call from CRG cause I am up late so 2-3 am.

Actually it DOESN'T extend your cooking time at all your still cooking it until the time it's done!!
