WOW! I wanted one but didn't get it. (not yet anyway)
Shoots just like i remember, a little high, then low with slight right curve, into a little left curve with a drop.......dead on!!!! ;)
We opened presents tonight as we are traveling tomorrow..
Got a nice stack of Amazon.com and GFS (local foodservice provider - where I get my turkey boulder birds) gift cards. Woo hoo!
And 2 cans of HEAT windshield de-icer from MIL. That's sort of a practical gag gift we started doing years ago..
I got her a couple packages of corn-on-the-cob holders in return. ;D
I have so far got a new computer chair (think I can sleep in this one).
A new pair of Crocs. (Love them things)
And more Crown!
And ALL my Kids are home, safe.
What more could a person ask for.
I also got a couple little packages of spiced sugar from my wife's family out in WA.
Sweet Onion Sugar and Habanero Sugar from The Spice & Tea Exchange (http://www.spiceandtea.com/).
Not sure what to use them in, but would make for an interesting substitution in a rub!

YOU'LL SHOOT YER EYE OUT YOU'LL SHOOT YER EYE OUT YOU'LL SHOOT YER EYE OUT
weston 7 lb stuffer; a nice slicing knife, bunch of sausage kits and casings; one of those cut resistant gloves,my son and daughter coming home. Everything I wanted. Of course I picked it all out and paid for it, but that is one way to get exactly what you want. I expect a surprise or two tomorrow.
The only sad spot was we had to put my daughter's dog down on Wed. She left him here at Thanksgiving with the intent of taking him back after Christmas. She had rescued him from a shelter in Philly last Jan. He was deaf, old, and a bit arthritic Chug breed. Appears he also has congestive heart problems and liver problems. But he had a great personality and was a loving dog. About a week after Thanksgiving he started deteriorating rapidly. To the point I flew my daughter back early. It was almost as if he was waiting for her before he gave up fighting. Must have wanted to make sure she was going to be okay before he left.
Sorry to hijack the thread, so while I know you all offer condolences, but lets keep this happy and just list what you got. He's in a happier place and we're good with that.
Very sorry to hear that GR. The pups are so much a part of our families.
I kinda got a new meat slicer, wont be here till 2011. A foodsaver thanks to begolf25 for 27 bucks ;D, and a bunchof cool new forum buddies here at Bradleys forum, cant wait to spend the next year with you all !!!
One of my early ones ;D

Grandkids got me Puck rings from Auber. Also got a box with a picture of the E 732 with a photo of Frog Mats from Yard and Pool. Recon those will be showing up sometime in the near future. But the best thing is that I got to spend some time with the Grandkids as I don't get to see them too often. Merry Christmas all!
My wife is working so Christmas for us and kids will be tonight.
Santa stopped by last night ;D
(http://i868.photobucket.com/albums/ab242/nepas1/DSC01154.jpg)

Hey, I already posted my cool gifts in the gift exchange section ;D
Frogmats, ribhooks and trays for TBE, and a mandolin. Merry Christmas everyone!
Well it was another skinny xmas here cause of a series of costly happenings, but I got one more year with my daughter thatwill be moving to New Jersey soon so for that I am glad.
But I get to play with the Nintendo DS XL I gotfor my wife. That is what I am posting with right now. Who would have thunk a handheld game could ever hook to the Net and post on the forum, INCREDIBLE.
An Ipod Touch, shirts, underwear, new shavers, Target gift card, Visa Gift Card, Seasonings for summer sausage (well I ordered those). Oh and work bought me a new phone, an Epic 4G, still trying to figure this thing out.
Daughter and her boyfriend made it in through the snow safely. We tried the skype thing this year with the family in WI that couldn't make it down so everyone got to watch all the kids open their presents, worked out nice.
All is great.
SIA
Other than weekend with the in-laws I got a new grinder and food saver vacuum sealer and a four day weekend of nothing to but eat ;D ;D
Haven't got the Texas stuff yet, but
3 barbecue books, set of ceramic knives, fishing shirts, tea swizzle, Pizza on the grill book, Road sandwiches book, some antique photos, Walker Texas Ranger DVD's, Lonesome Dove DVD, and the biggie from Santa - a 180mm Macro Lens for closeup photos. Yeh!
In the cookware department - 8 individual pie pans ( http://www.kingarthurflour.com/shop/items/individual-pie-slice-pans ), a candy book from the CIA, a odd size set of measuring spoons, a set of small measuring cups (1 tsp & 1 tbsp), a new blender and two new measuring glasses.
Duel probe and a Cabelas wrap for my 6 rack. Oh my friends know how to take care of me,and my wife listens to them. :o
I got some lounge pants and a couple of base layer shirts. I also received this big heavy box on Christmas Eve in the mail. The return address was to the "Three Amigo's". I wasn't expecting anything from anyone so this one really surprised me. I opened it to find a wonderful array of items from around the North Alabama area. There was a card inside that cleared everything up. So I would like to send out a Great BIG THANK-You to Gus (GusRobin), Tommy (TMB), and Morgan (TestRocket). I tried loading this stuff called Gunpowder in the Muzzleloader today but it wouldn't fire, I think its some dud powder!!! Maybe I should try it on some meat then. Here's what I found in the box. Thanks Again Guys I really Appreciate it!!

Either the picture is crooked or I might have had one too many toties today.
Chris, nice haul. I do not know if you ever tried the John Boy and Billys sauce before but I have and its pretty darn good.

Or not enough -- need to steady those hands. Have another and try again. ;)
For the chef in me I got a Jack Lalanne juicer, Bradley cold smoker attachment, and an electric salt/pepper mill. The mill holds salt and pepper and you flip the switch on top one direction to grind salt and the other direction to grind pepper (very cool). Looking forward to using them all.
I had a surprise. When we were done opening presents, the wife said there is one more that someone dropped off. I opened it and it was from Schmidty (my friend Rob).
In it was:
I had mentioned that I had been looking for these since I first saw them on the forum. Couldn't find them on line at Cabela's and we don't have one near by so i don't have a clue how he got them. But thanks Rob.
Well, let's see...a Santa in NE PA brought me a nice sized snack that was written about in the Exchange thread, and a Santa sitting on this chair typing brought me a Foodsaver V3485 just after Thanksgiving. The 2 fuzzy Santa's that live in this house with me brought me love and affection today (as well as every other day). And all of the Santa's on this board brought me much enjoyment and support this year. Yes, I feel very blessed.
Now if only the Powerball Santa will think I was nice this year.............
I got 4 racks. half gallon of Carolina Treet and some Budweiser BBQ sauce, Undies, Socks ,Chocolate covered almonds from Costco. yum.
I GOT A PUPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A Brindle Boxer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The BEST gift ever. My parents have wintered in the Florida for the past 15 or so years, so Xmas has been a joint celebration with Thanksgiving.
This year, however, they stayed home. Christmas was once again at Mom & Dad's house.
I am sure they regret staying here whenever the snow flies, but all I know is that it felt like a real holiday again.

I dropped enough hints recently about a Cobb BBQ and ended up getting two, one from my two sons and one from my partner. Between them they decided I needed two to cover the boat and the house and I am certainly not complaining!! ;) :D
Got a few other nice pressies including fish filleting knife and wetsuit but also had to go into work unexpectedly half way though Christmas Dinner which was a bit of a bummer.
All in all a nice day with family though. :)

Sorry to hear about your Christmas dinner interruption.
Can you post your experience with the Cobb BBQ. Ever since you mention them, I've been wanting to purchase one.
Jan and I went light on each other this year with the addition of all the little ones (7 total, 5 that are 6 years old and under) we tucked under our wings with the marriage of one daughter and our other daughter given us our first grandbaby!
So the best thing I got this year for Christmas was seeing lots of smiles and hearing the screams of happiness within a house full of family (26 for Christmas dinner).
But I did get one of those presents that will go down as something I didn't see coming that was a great idea. We had borrowed my M-I-L's little patio refrigerator for the wedding back in late October and then have used it thru Thanksgiving and for Christmas with the intention of returning it now that Christmas was over.
Well I can return it now and still have a small refrigerator in the garage! It's amazing the benefit of having just a little extra place for soft drinks and other stuff! A great gift! ;D
Santa came early this year and bought me a cottage in Northern Ontario thats why he missed my house on Xmas eve :D
Lumpy
Santa brung me a lot of nice gifts and such, but the best thing he brung me wuz visiting time with family and friends.
Spent three days in "my old Kentucky home".
I think the best moment was when my (very young) neice said the blessing...
She went on and on for about five minutes...
Somewhere in the middle, she said, "and, Lord, please don't let Santa get sick... "
;D ;D ;D

I sort of know how you have felt. Even thought I was not living at home when my mom and dad divorced, the one thing in my life that I could count on was a relatively happy xmas. And when they split that was the end to my happy times from childhood. Unfortuunately for my wife and kids I have a hard time getting excited about it. The point is it was just never the same and couldn't be without it being the way it was. Geez, how sad is that. I think I need therapy. Lol
Well guys I was blessed enough to see all my family and all were in good health. I received some good tangables too. The staples: socks, underwear, shower gel, deodorant, shampoo, wrenches, nice drinking glasses. The fun: DVD's, PS3 game. The Kitchen: Oven Roaster combo, and an indoor grill.
I have been receiving help from CRG and Mikeradio over the course of the past 10 days. They have been my support group on trying to get the starter that I received to grow. Nothing would work. I am following instruction, there are bubbles but there is no growth. There it is still only as high as the line I marked on the bottle....I don't get it. I even stirred it two days in a row, lid on, lid off....oh well I tried and we put up a good fight. Thanks Sonny and Mike for the support.
I did receive a shocking surprise on Christmas morning though:
After the third stir in three days, I left it on the counter with the lid on overnight and "Yes finally it grew" "It is alive!!"
My goal is to feed Mike (the starter) tonight and make bread tomorrow. May the bread gods be looking down on me.
Bless you all.
JJ
Good for you JJ!
Way to bring Mike back to life. ;D
I would be changing the name of that starter to Kringle!! I think it got a little Christmas magic sprinkled in by Ole Santa himself!!

Chris Kringle..........I knew it!!! :D
Thant's a classic Chris ;D ;D
Thanks guys. It was a trek and I was a wreck. I did not want to be the one (it was bothering me) to end the starter trail...and now I won't be.

Certainly will Mike, probably take a few weeks to test them out thoroughly but I will get back to you with my impressions. :)
Weston Sausage stuffer from Cabelas !!
Got a few odds and ends for Archery hunting, mainly tools to help me cut, fletch and build my own arrows.
From my loving wife she is upgrading my iPhone to a new iPhone 4 since the battery on my current one barely makes it through the day and I depend on it for work.
Biggest surprise was the Traditions Accellerator 50 cal muzzleloader I got from my parents.
Between that and the new bow I already had on order we're definitely extending deer season next year. So I decide to pool some of the money I got and ordered myself a Heater Body Suit today. It can get awful cold out there considering Archery Season runs until December 31st here in MN.
Thinking of putting in the PTO requests for next fall already. I can't wait!

Hey JJ
I received a starter just before Xmas from Mike too. What I did after I fed it and let it set in the oven overnight was I split the starter into three. Put two in the fridge and put one on the counter. Well the one on the counter grew like crazy and the two in the fridge did nothing. In two days I fed the counter one a second time and this time I put one in the fridge and one on the counter. The other third I made buns with. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Even my wife said she liked my buns!!!! YAHOOO!
Anyway, the starter I put in the fridge after the second feed is now acting like it should and the one on the counter grew to the top of the jar and almost seemed to blow the lid off in less than 24 hrs. Anyway, the one in the fridge I will be using in the future and none to be left on the counter anymore. After a few more feeds I'll be freezing a few backups. I think using the counter/fridge combo works, so in the future if I remove one from the freezer I'll be using this combo technique.
I had help from Sonny and Mike too! Many thanks to both of you for your help!
The Capt'n

I almost missed this, you are very welcome :) What she didn't tell you is what she sent me......... I got the best of the deal
first - she wraps like someone else here - was it the Seemores? I don't think there are any bags left in Idaho ;D
(http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk234/deb415611/Bradley/photo-14.jpg)
In all those bags I found some cool Idaho sauces & rub
(http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk234/deb415611/Bradley/photo-13.jpg)
The best stuff ;D the stuff she made herself
(http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk234/deb415611/Bradley/photo-11.jpg)
smoked chile verde, dilly beans, spiced honey pickled carrots & roasted chipolte tomatillo salsa
Thank you!
I shipped the rest of the bags of Idaho to California. :D
I've only had one jar ever break in shipment in 10+years of shipping jars.
Unfortunately the jar that broke was a one quart pickled beet jar that I sent to my folks.
What a mess! :o
Carolyn
My in-laws gave me an OBS. Boy did I luck out with those guys. I was actually a little up set that they spent so much on me but I do love my new gift!
Did I tell anyone i got a puppy? ;D
