Title: Hello from Ontario
Post by: spiker1963 on December 26, 2010, 11:59:24 AM
Just got my first smoker yesterday for Christmas and seasoning right now. Can't wait to use it ;D. Going to do some chiken breast and pork chops, any good rubs anybody recommend? Hope everybody has a good holiday season.
Thanks

Hi spiker and welcome to the forum.  Many of us use commercial rubs we've come to like.  Jan's rub, at the link SS posted is a good home made one.  At least you know what's in there.

Welcome to the forum spiker.

As Arnie mentioned I would highly recommend Jan's Dry Rub.  I really love it on poultry.  The recipe for the rub is at http://www.susanminor.org (http://www.susanminor.org) like SS pointed out but here's a link of mine that shows all the spices you'll need to mix up the rub http://forum.bradleysmoker.com/index.php?topic=18803.msg228504#msg228504 (http://forum.bradleysmoker.com/index.php?topic=18803.msg228504#msg228504)
