Without getting into names I was called in by a major mill to see if I could help turn around an account that had been doing about 1 million per year with them. They have collectively 385 million square feet of facilites.
Well they gave me 3 nights and one hall 6 foot wide by 100 foot long.
It is a blue based rug with various colorings. When I first saw it other than 3-4 inches on the sides it was dark brown.
Kind of like this picture but much darker and much more embedded soils. (See the nasty color at the top?)

Anyway it tested my metal, and I used every tick in my bag, but we won. In the end I had to do 3 controlled burns to remove the last bit of browning. Control burns is when you use an item the chemically burns out coloring. The trick is to know when to stop or you start to remove the carpet's color... phew I was sweating over those. [:0]
But today I'm a hero...LOL!

I still can't figure out how you are able to handle so many jobs and tasks simultaneously.
Hiring reliable people and spending lots of time training employees to do it right sure helps take the burden off the boss.

And Bob (my operation mananger) can burn a rug a good as the best in the business... I think he has a better eye than me...This takes years to learm. When the mill is there looking on they want want what they "think" is 1st string. *cough cough* Chit Bob burn one last month...the last one I did before this was 6 years ago...talk about pressure. Trying to bring up memories...Everyone who is important was there... Damn I just glad it is over with.
