Title: Jalepeno sticks?
Post by: JF7FSU on January 11, 2011, 04:01:31 PM
I got a whole buncha Jalepeno's I gotta use.   I was thinking about dicing them up and tossing them into Pens spicy recipe for some jalepeno sticks.   I never used any type of fresh vegetable in sticks before.

1) Is this ok to do?

2) Is this a good combo with Pens Recipe?

3) Does anyone have another recipe for fresh Jalepeno sticks?

Thanks!

I put jalapenos in SS all the time.

Use 1 lb jalapenos to 12 lb sausage or around 10%.

Cut the tops off and slice a bit, mix with your meat then grind the jalapenos with the meat.

Fresh jalapenos will give you a slight crunch when you bite into them.

I have steamed them till soft, kinda like you would do veggies, that works nice.

I use pickled jalapenos now.

You could make some ABT's also.

Or dehydrate them for a later date.

Maybe smoke them then dry and grind to make some chipotle pepper.
