Post by: SnellySmokesEm on January 20, 2011, 01:16:40 PM
With the new baby coming in a few months it was time to trade in my Titan for something that was a little bigger and could haul more people....
Got a '07 GMC Acadia

Nice ride Matt! My wife and I have been looking at those but we are hoping to get at least one more year out of the Xterra.

I really like the 2nd row Captains chairs.

Lookin' good, Snelly!

Wanna trade accountants?
Mine just said I have to go ahead and keep my "bus" at least until it's eligible for classic plates...

I definitely has a lot of room and rides great.

Deb - What year?

Bryan - We had to go with the two captains chairs because when we put the 2nd car seat in there we can still access the 3rd row.

On my 8 passinger the 2nd row is a 60/40 seat and the 40 folds up to access the 3rd row, I'm a big man and when i bought mine the first thing i did was climb into the 3rd row. The salesman ask me what i was doing i told him if i can fit in here comfortably anybody can. i could ride there if i wasn't driving.

Shasta -
I have two car seats in the middle row.  So if I got the bench I would have had to take one of the car seats out each time I needed access to the 3rd row.

Snelly,

2011      I have the captain chairs also      I have been driving a Trailblazer since 2002 and they don't make them anymore :( .  This was the the most comparable vehicle that I could find.

the salesman asked me what options i needed - I said side rails on the roof because I need to put a rack on for kayaks and leather for the dog.....  he looked at me strangely...... my husband was sitting next to me laughing......         when I was your age it would have been all about fitting kids in  :D

So did you get the double dvd in the headrests for the little ones?   I passed on that for the dog ;D

Congrats on the coming little one Snelly ;D The Acadia is a very nice SUV(same as the Saturn Outlook). I also recently had to get a bigger truck due to my expanding family. Ended up trading in my Nissan Frontier and getting a new crew cab Silverado. These new infant car seats with the base require a full size crew cab truck(I found out).
