Has anyone here surfed the Smoke Ring?
I spent some time over the last few days surfing the Smoke Ring. I must admit to being a bit disappointed in the ring itself, there's a series of 6-7 sites in a row that are all owned by one company operating web stores under different names, followed by another dozen or so that are selling this sauce or this smoking utensil... the ring leaves the impression that it's nothing but marketing and very little substance.
Don't get me wrong, the meat of the ring is there, but visitors to the ring have to chew a lot of fat to get to it.
I was disspaointed in the fact that I went to the ring looking for new techniques and ideas/recipes but came back feeling like I'd seen nothing but roadside salesmen. Harrumph.... [B)]
Unless you are a complete nOOb, there realy isn't much there. I concur with your observations.
