Title: My heating element just died on my 6th smoke.
Post by: jmforester on January 24, 2011, 03:51:30 PM
These heating elements are terrible. Luckily I had an extra because I was going to add a second element, so I swapped it out, and hopefully the chicken and smelt I was cold and then hot smoking will be ok. Temps are so low outside that it never got higher than 40 degrees in the box before the element died.

JM, hate to hear you had a problem.  Not sure what is going but this "bad batch" elements really seems to be growing.  Bradley will send you anew one ASAP.  Brian, have you guys been able to pin down the problem yet on these elements?
