Don't want to start a thread to argue, exult, or compare any chosen lifestyles and/or diets. This posting is not meant to bad mouth anyone but to share experiences and results or lack of with any members who have chosen or might choose a Low Carbohydrate lifestyle. Have done Weight Watchers, South Beach, Cabbage Soup ... etc diets and they all work but alas the weight always comes back on!! :'(
So I decided... what better way to indulge my growing Meat Smokin Addiction than to apply it to a Low Carbohydrate lifestyle. Let's face it, like many I need to address my increasing obesity problem and I believe that the Atkins method will prove to be successful for me. When done properly, the Atkins approach will turn my body into a fat-burning machine and I have a lot of fat that needs to be burned :-[ :'(
Started the journey to better health, weight loss, and new lifestyle a couple of days ago. There's at least 70 lbs that I need to shed. I don't need an excuse to continue my Low-n-Slow BBQing trek but I definitely want to incorporate Atkins and Smokin' BBQ ;)
Anyone else on this forum living the Low Carbohydrate lifestyle?
i drink to much beer for that.
i will tell you though, i once worked with a guy who did the atkins thing, he ate greasy fatty meats, pizza without crust, no carbs, but a terrible choice of food, and by gosh, to my surprise he shed the lbs instantly.
i was always so amazed by this because the food he was eating was soooo fatty and on most cases oily.
the diet definitely works.
My diet consisted of a couple days in the hospital :o ..........Called LapBand
-90lbs and aint never coming back ;D
It isn't low carbs or no carbs or high carbs it is the right kind of carbs ;)
