Title: DBS 4-Rack Homemade Stand Ideas
Post by: travis442 on February 07, 2011, 09:39:52 AM
I just purchased my first Bradley smoker over the weekend and have already had my first round with it, results turned out pretty good for a newbie.

After using it I have decided that I want to build a stand to get it up off the ground and make it a little easier and user friendly.

I have done some searching but haven't had much luck in finding some ideas of what others have built as a stand for their smokers, if anybody has a pic of a stand they build I would love to see it. I'm planning on keeping the smoker outdoors so I'll have to make something that can handle the elements.

Thanks in advance.

I used a 1950's typing desk my Dad picked up off the sidewalk on trash day :)

Prior to that I used a piece of plywood on two end tables...

Hi Travis;
Welcome to the forum.

I purchase a cart from Sam's.

When you build your stand build it about table height. Adding casters, with two being locking casters will come in handy when you want to move the smoker around.

Check out this site for some ideas, I printed the plans for one that is 5 foot long, 27 1/2" wide and 34 1/2" high.

Thanks for the link, something simple like that would probably work just fine for now, I don't think I'm too concerned about being able to store stuff under it so I'm not worried about it being sealed.

I'll have to take a look and see if I find anything else that I like better on there.

Same here just need something to sit it on, I'll probaly make a few adjustments to the size.
