I use a different system for making ground meat jerky. I do 50 pounds at a time so we kind of do it in a big way. Here is a short cut to my post on the subject. read it close and see if you can apply it to what you want. I have not needed to make jerky lately but I will get some pictures when we make it next.

I have a Jerky Blaster (http://www.cabelas.com/product/Home-Cabin/Food-Processing/Jerky-Making%7C/pc/104798880/c/104723280/sc/104407380/Cabelas-Jerky-Guns/733821.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2F_%2FN-1101297%3FWTz_l%3DSBC%253BMMcat104798880&WTz_l=SBC%3BMMcat104798880%3Bcat104407380) and it works great.

I only do 10 lb at a time.
I have the Gander Mountain version of the one OU812 showed you. If you get a "shooter" like that, be sure to get one with an aluminum barrel. They last longer than a plastic barrel.

good looking sticks.
I remember on member said that his jerky shooter worked his arm to death. How is your jerky blaster.
All of the barrels on the blaster I have are aluminum and there is no work out, caulk is twice as hard to crank out.
The plastic barrels are on the jerky gun, they will scar over time and thats what makes it a work out.
I have the older model blaster and the barrels dont interchange with the new one. ::)
What ever you deside on just dont get the plastic barrels.
Is it worth it to get extra tubes, aluminum of course? Or waste of $$ ?

I think it is worth the $$
Got me enough tubes to do 10 lb, fill them all then start squirting.
