Title: Temperature difference in Bradley
Post by: muebe on February 13, 2011, 09:57:23 AM
I am smoking some ribs this morning. I currently have a PID reading of 220F and the built-in temp guage is reading 165F :o I have two racks of ribs(top shelf and second shelf). I have the PID sensor dangling 1 inch below the second shelf. The built-in temp guage probe is located at the front and in between the two shelves of ribs. This is very interesting. I think that many people who believe that their Bradley is not reaching temp might actually be mistaken. This just shows how the built-in guage cannot be trusted ;)

I've got some ribs in the OBS myself and with the PID at 220F the built in gauge is reading 172F. I quit looking at it in the second cook!  ;D
