Title: Another thermo option for my fellow Canucks
Post by: Canadian_Smoke on August 26, 2005, 01:08:33 PM
Well, it seems clear that we Canadians are simply being discriminated against when it comes to our ability to by a good thermo.  We either have to pay double what a Mav is worth to get it shipped "Up North", rely on the very good will of our US friends (Thanks again for you offer Rob) or try to make due with a cheaper product which often has mixed results.

Tired of listening to my belly-moaning about my thermo situation all week, my wife went out and bought this for me

It was cheap enough at under $30 cdn but the thing that intrigues me is the fact that it has a 5 foot long, metal shielded cord on the probe.

It may turn out to be a dud but I have high hopes for it.  I'll be trying it out this weekend on a nice 6lb brisket and I will report back on the performance.
