Title: Best way to smoke ribs?
Post by: botbuilder on August 26, 2005, 05:22:33 PM
We have a mess of ribs to cook this weekend and need some advice.

What is the best way to cook them?  I would really like to smoke them, but will it dry them out?

Is it better to pre-cook ribs in the oven before smoking?

Thanks in advance!

Bot,

The word around here lately is that is to smoke them for about four hours then wrap in foil and back into the smoker for two more hours then finish on the grill.  HTH and welcome.

Welome to the Forum, BB!  I do what MW mentioned, although sometimes I don't bother with the grill finish especially if I have used a dry rub rather than a sauce.
