You think 18 qt will be enough for 29 grown men? :D
Edit; one of the pictures didnt load.
I bet your house smells great!
Nothing like waking up with the house smelling like a fresh pot of chili. ;D
What's that stuff that look like beans in there ??? ???
I'll eat Arnie's beans!
Looks tasty to me. The beans that STC doesn't eat, I'll be happy to eat.

I was wondering when someone would bring up the beans. :D
Around these parts theres beans in our chili even at the restaurants. ;D
It may not be chili but it sure is some great looking caldillo de hamburguesa y frijoles (spicy stew of hamburger and beans).
'Spicy Meat & Bean Soup' works for me!
Chili here has beans as well, and optional 'oil' if you want a extra dose of hamburger grease floating on top..
Spicy stew of hamberger and beans with 2 heaping cups of Penzeys Medium Hot Chili powder. ;D
The Chili looks great. The beans are a must in my area as well If you want to add meat that is optional :) and you then have to call it Chili con Carne.
This pot has 10 lb browned GB, 10 lb Roma tomatos, 3 lb white onions, 2 lb jalapenos, one head of garlic,
2 cups chili powder, 1/4 cup cumin, 1/4 cup Lawry's seasoned salt, 1 Tbl + 1 tsp oregano and a gallon of tomato sauce then topped off with some water.
Makin me hungry just thinking about it. ;D
Sounds great!
I hope you have some help to move that roaster! I made a roaster full for a chili cookoff last year, and I was afraid the handles were going to shear off......
Beans or not, I would hammer it with a big ole hunk of cornbread!!

The boy and I are going to move it, its heavy. ::)
My concern is how to keep all in the pot during transport. ;D
Remember that warm melted cheese and chili dip that everyone made all the time? I dumped an entire pot full of that in the floorboard of my car one sub zero night. I had to chip it out the next morning and my car smelled like chili cheese dip until Spring! :D
I love chili...and beans so bring it on!
The pot came back empty!! :o
Good thing I grabbed some before it left. 8)
ou812 that is some good looking chili. my looks like yours before it was brown in color wow :o

The company I worked for at one time had a tradition of starting on the first work day of December and going to the last working day before Christmas Eve, someone or someones would bring in something to share with the office. We called it "The December Pig Out. When it was my turn, I got permission to come in 11:00 AM that morning. I made a 5 quart Crockpot of my chili.....chili grind beef and all. I double parked out front...ran the chili up to the 8th floor and plugged it in...jumped back in the car and drove to the parking lot two blocks from my building in downtown D.C...quick stepped back to the office...as I get off the elevator back on the 8th floor...I see to my left a coworker with the Crockpot insert scraping the last morsel into a bowl...I was gone no more then 15 minutes...I was told it was VERY tasty...I could only take their word for it!!! Well, someone DID wash the insert out and left it for me with a "Please refill." note inside...NO I DID NOT!!! ;D
