Title: Storing Casings
Post by: rcger on March 03, 2011, 08:17:15 AM
Does anyone have any recommendations on storing both collagen and fibrous casings?  Should they be refrigerated?  Thanks in advance!

My collagen says on the package. "When not in use they should be kept under refrigeration-sealed in package.

I store all my casings in the fridge, sealed in Zip lock freezer bags with all the air sucked out.

Make sure they are sealed, the fridge will dry the out collagen and you will have blow outs when stuffing.
