Title: Restaurant Depot
Post by: JF7FSU on March 05, 2011, 07:31:05 PM
I just went to Restaurant Depot for the first time in Ft. Lauderdale.  WOW!!!!!!!!!   It is like COSTCO on steroids.   HUGE selection and all the chefs (in aprons) were in there shopping loading up for the day.  The meat was Halal and Angus.  I saw 10lbs 90/10 GB for $20 and huge cryovac'd cuts of meat I could not identify.   They had bushels of oysters, clams, and mussels.  They had all fresh fish section Tuna loin for $10/lb.    That was just the freexer section.  THey had frozen everything too and of course every piece of equipment one could want (although I did not see an OBS..lol).

You need an occupational license and business to get in and get a free card.  I had passed it many times without a thought and finally went in.. Bye Bye Costco (for the most food part).
