Title: Car alarms
Post by: Lasse on September 15, 2005, 12:22:01 PM
Any suggestions on a car alarm?
I use to have one from http://www.blackwidowsecurity.com/ but that one was left in the Explorer.

I was satisfied with that one but it wont hurt to get opinions about other brands.

I am thinking of the BW-X5.
Any sugguestion/opinion are welcome.

My American Bull Dog is a great car alarm. Only problem is, you can't leave him in the car on a hot day. However he is a great smoker alarm too. [:D]

One Americat and 3 European Shorthair won't mix with a Bull Dog.[:D]
I'd feel sorry for the Bull.[:0]

They can accept a spider if needed.
My Americat smell when the smoked meat is out of the smoker or fridge and just beg for more. You can see at:

My favorite alarm company... Have run this on three cars...

http://www.compustar.org/

The range isn't quite what they claim (2 miles for the SS), but it is quite far using their radio technology. Most people who know compustar know that they are the most customizable an alarm can get. You can do the simple remote start, but also has pit stop mode, window roll up and down, lighting, etc. Pretty much anything you want.
