Hello all. My name is Rich and I am from from Long Island. I have been using a propane grill and smoker box to do my smoking up until now and decided it was time to upgrade to a real smoker. I am teetering between the OBS and the DBS. Leaning towards the OBS given the price on Amazon. Seems that they have the same heating element and share most components. I am hoping I won't get buyer's remorse at not getting the digital.

Anyway I am looking forward to my first real "smokin'" weekend! This forum seems like a great community and I look forward to taking part.

Rich i have a OBS and i am very happy with it also i don't use a PID , eather way you will be happy and welcome to the site this is a great place. ;D

Welcome! OBS is a good start. Add a PID later, and you basically have the DBS.

Hi Rich and welcome to the forum. I have the OBS with PID.

You won't have to be out there fiddling with the vents, charcoal, water, etc with the Bradley.

That was EXACTLY my reason for going with the Bradley. ;)
