I am going on another camping trip this weekend and I had a request to make pulled pork. I liked the Blackberry Bourbon Butt that I made last time I decided to do it again. Man this really is the best Butt I have ever had.
All Injected and rubbed down!

After 5 hours hickory plus another 5 hours...

After I FTC's I wrapped tight in plastic and foil and stuck in the freezer to thaw out in the crock pot this weekend!
Man, you guys know how to 'camp'... ;D
Looks good.
Mmmm mmmm mmmm!
That hunk of pork looks gooood.
I think the flavor of the rub and smoke are more intense after a good chill and reheated in the crock pot.
Still to damn cold here to do any camping. ::)
Yummy looking! Is this a recipe of yours that you have shared? Or something purchased? I'm thinking it would go great on poultry.

Dang, Snelly... That ALL looks goooooood....
What's the difference between regular old "red snapper" and "mangrove snapper"?
Hal - Not too sure there is much of a difference other than the species and habitat. If the two were laying on a platter next to each other I am sure I would not be able to tell the difference.
Really great pictures,it looks like a page out of a culinary magazine.. really looks good...
Hey everybody! My name is Jay and I'm the author of the website/blog Bite and Booze. I'm so glad you found my Blackberry Bourbon Boston Butt recipe and seem to like it so much! I made up that recipe from a combination of a couple butts that I smoked last Spring. You can see those here: http://www.biteandbooze.com/2010/02/pork-shoulder-barbeque-at-house.html
The recipe that you guys have been talking about was created in order to use Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning as a main ingredient. It was entered into a Tailgating recipe contest/cook off this past football season. I represented LSU and went up against the other 11 universities in the Southeastern Conference. After winning the first round of internet votes with the recipe, I actually got to cook the pork shoulder for a TV show that ran on Comcast Sports South along with the other two finalists. I ended up winning the finals too, so the Blackberry Bourbon Boston Butt claimed top prize!
Looks like some of you have given the recipe a try. I really appreciate that... and it looks like it has come out pretty darn good! Thanks! - Jay
Welcome Jay ...That recipe rocks thanks
