Title: problem with oven
Post by: janzy on April 07, 2011, 08:09:55 AM
Hi,
The oven on my 6 rack unit will not heat up.
When i plug the tower in direct the element works fine, but when I hook everything up, no heat in the tower. Temp won't go over 50 degrees.
I have reseated all the power cords and still nothing.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I would try shoving the cords in a little tighter sounds like there is a loose connection somewhere. Especially if the element glows when plugged direct.

There may be a loose wire inside the smoke generator, I think its the blue one.

That was my problem when I bought mine.   Open the SG and the loose wire was obvious.   No problems since.

problem solved.
Red wire was off, I reattached it and now I'm cooking.
Well, not yet, but will be.

red wire was off in the smoke generator, nothing to clean! It was clean as a whistle.
