Title: smoke generator fan?
Post by: sneakysnitch on April 13, 2004, 11:25:16 PM
Does the smoke generator have a fan with it?  If so, anybody know what the cfm is?

I am building a double door comercial freezer smoker so I need to know if I need something to push the smoke and heat around.

No fan...plate gets hot enough to smolder the puck (bisquette)

Circulation takes place via normal drafting - hot smoke rising - I would imagine that some air is taken in via the connection spot as it is not a tight seal.

Sneaky,

Another thing to consider is the wall thickness where you're mounting the collar. One of our customers pointed out to me that the mounting collar will only adjust to a ?2 3/4"? max thickness. If you need to know for sure, let me know & I'll dig one out & give you the exact dimension.

He had his local metalsmith do a little work & got it running just fine.

Ya think next time I check into a hotel & they ask "Smoking or Non?" they would mind?
