Did some more Scotch Eggs. This time I cold smoked the hardboiled eggs with Applewood prior to making them. I did the same as before but I used regular sausage for all 6. They were smoked with one hour pecan and one hour apple. The two that were coated with brown sugar were re-coated with more after they were smoked. Then I dipped them in pancake batter and dropped them into the deep fryer for a few minutes. I then smothered one in maple syrup and hit it. All I can say is OMG :o :o :o I think I am on to something ;)

Looks good, but what's a scotch egg? An egg wrapped in sausage? Sounds good enough to eat. :)
Holy cr@p that's brilliant!
Those look good. What temp did you smoke the eggs at and then the meatballs with the eggs in them and for how long?
You say the two with brown sugar on them? Did you put brown sugar on the meat or just the eggs?
What temp did you deep fry them at?

The eggs were cold smoked below 80F degrees along with some Sriracha...

The scotch eggs were smoked at 225F and took a few hours to get to a IT(meat temp) of 160F. The details of my previous scotch eggs are here...

Brown sugar was applied to the outside of the meat only and they were fried at 360F for a few minutes until crispy ;D
Make the pancake batter out of scotch and it will be a hit ;D

You can always drizzle it with some 20 year scotch instead of maple syrup :D
