Title: Soileaus Chili

Made a pot of chili the other day using the Soileaus Chili seasoning packet I got from Pat, thanks Pat.

The stars of the show, yep thats deer meat.  ;D

All cubed and in the pan with a couple Tbl of unsalted butter.

All done, mmmm mm mmmm that is some tender meat.

Every one in the pot for about 6 hr. I added a can of kidney beans along with the pinto beans.

Thats some mighty tasty chili with a nice kick to it but not to hot the girls couldnt eat it.

Heck mama even ate some and you all know how much she likes deer meat.  ::)

I thought Chili was a cold weather food!!! Oh Wait it is still cold here in the midwest!! You tell Momma it was steak again?

Looks good!

When he (Avery Soileau) does product demos at the stores around here, he serves up chili.   You can smell it when you walk in the door..

Yep told her it was a cut up new york strip.  ;D

If she aint here to smell it cookin she thinks its beef every time, she was workin when I made this.  ::)

Man it would be great if he would have a demo around here.

When I made the chili the whole house smelled gooooooood.

Looks good Curt.  You're right about the kick. 

I made some the other day with 2.5 pounds of cubed chuck steak with beans and cornbread on the side.  Leftovers tonight  :D

Yes Sir...down in Texas they will tell you that chili is not chili if it has beans in it..my two brothers who have lived in Texas for over 50 years...well guess what I put beans in my chili... :D
