Title: Feeder Tube
Post by: gerryf on April 21, 2011, 12:51:04 PM
Here's a silly or not so silly question.

The "feeder tube" -- is this supposed to pushed all the way down till it stops? The book says:

Insert the feeder tube into the top of the smoke generator.
Push down firmly.

I had an error during the last smoke and all I did to fix it was remove the tube and it came back to life, but I wasn't inserting the tube all the way into the hole, just enough to hold it there.

No silly questions on this forum. You need to push it down until it rest firmly on the lip that is inside the generator, making sure the tube is straight. If you remove the tube and run your finger inside the generator where the tube is inserted you will feel the lip.

If you insert it too far, past the lip, the tube will interfere the drive guide (the mechanism that pushes the bisquettes) and cause an error display in the digital models.
