Title: Battlecreek Michigan
Post by: jiggerjams on May 03, 2011, 01:15:45 PM
My family is going to Battlecreek Michigan this weekend just wondering if there is any place relatively local to pick up any recommended foodie stuff (rubs, mies breading, sauces, or BBQ joints etc.).

Also I think I am not too far from the Five Lakes Grill if it is still operating?

Thanks,
JJ

This is my normal stop when I drive home from CO. I hit the Denny's and crash.

I see you are interested in purchasing the KitchenAid attachment. That is the state where the KitchenAid factory is located, so there may be area stores that may have those attachments in stock.

I ordered ribs from here:

They were excellent. They have won numerous 1st prizes in the Kalamazoo competitions. I talked with the nice lady that hosted us and I let her know I have a passion for BBQ and that I will touring the northern states for my sons' ball tournaments and that I would like a memory from each of my stops. She was kind enough to give me some of their rub and sauce. About a 1 lb of each and both are excellent.
